Hi there,

Today I would like to share with you my last summer trip.
Before discovering where it was just I will give you a clue: It was raining cats and dogs frequently, nonetheless, we could relish the moment.

Please find below some pics from our trip and more details of the whole route.

Easyjet Flight Madrid to Edinburgh: 16.45

Once there, we ran to the rental cars office to pick up our Opel Mokka car. We booked through Rentalcars that always provides us a good service and coverage. In this instance the company was Europcar and we were quite happy with them.

Our first night in Edinburgh
was great, plenty of people around due to the Fringe Festival.
We went for a walk and had a pint.

Saturday 17th August 2019

Early in the morning, we started with Edinburgh Castle but we did not go into due to lack of time and even at 9.15 or so, the queue was pretty long.
Then walking along Royal Mile we got St Giles´Cathedral after that we visited the National Museums of Scotland (free entry). I really loved it!!

We had the Scottish breakfast in The Standing Order, the old Scottish bank to gain strength to climb to Arthur´s Seat. Amazing view! Highly recommended from my point of view :).

On our way to Stirling we stopped to visit The Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel.
In the brief time that we had in Stirling we visited the Castle and we had the dinner in The Crossed Peel, the Wetherspoon there. We got Strathyre where we slept.

Sunday 18th August 2019

The goal of the day was to reach Mallaig on time to go to the Skye Island by Ferry. On our way we enjoyed with the nature and its view.

In Glencoe the path we did was easy and it took less than an hour I shared with you the pics that I took.

The weather was not so good after arriving to Skye Island nonetheless we drove straight to The Storr and unfortunately we could not see it. The rain and fog stopped us. :(

The colorful houses and a pint of beer was the alternative to cheer us up.
Hope see you in the Scotland: Edinburgh and Highlands 2019. Part II. Nessie is coming :)
